A Happy New Year to all our friends.
I hope you all had a great Christmas and new Years celebrations and will have a healthy 2026.
We are looking to increase our numbers this year and will welcome any ladies of any age who enjoy singing and would like the opportunity of meeting with like-minded people. Singing is a great exercise and helps keep our brains exercised, and of course the enjoyment of having something to do during these cold winter months. Not forgetting that singing is also good for your general health, in particular your breathing !
We meet every Tuesday at the former Methodist Church, 140 Shirehampton Road, Sea Mills, BS9 2DY and meet at 11.00am. We practice for a total of 2 hours and have a break for coffee and any chorus news before continuing out practice.
We had an enjoyable Come and Sing day and have gained a new baritone, Alana, a new bass Tessa, and a new lead Zuzanner accompanied by her daughter Rosie !
You are very welcome to pop in and listen to us any Tuesday and we hope that seeing us and meeting us will encourage you to join us.
We sing a wide variety of songs in 3 and 4 part harmony and supply music and teach tapes.
We do perform a few concerts and these are always booked for during daytime hours. If you don't drive, there are a number of ladies who, with the help of their husbands (in some cases) can help with lifts.
We will be having a Summer Break so will not be meeting Tuesday 11th Augustcas we are having a group outing for an Afternoon Tea near Cheddar. We will not be practising in the 18 th of August but will be back to practice on Tuesday 25 th August.
